A software update turned on LLDP on the switch (Mikrotik Power BoxPro). The XV2-2T is negotiating 13 watt
“Device > show power
Platform Requirements: 13.30W min to boot, 51.00W max to draw
Physical Layer Power Range: Unknown.
LLDP negotiated Power Available: 13.00W supplied”
Hi @Springs , I believe you are running firmware version 6.6.0.3. The PoE switch is only allocating the AP 13.00W via LLDP, which is below the 13.30W minimum required by the XV2-2T AP so the AP flags a "CRITICAL_LOW_POWER " condition and sends an alert to cnMaestro. If after three AP reboots, the AP still detects this critical low power condition then the LED will be turned amber. In the 6.6.0.3 version, the AP still remains fully functional even though the LED is amber.
The Switch is capable of 48watts of total output.
I am using a 56V 60watts in via the Cambium L142A to drive the switch.
The ports are 450mA out so that would top out the output at 25.2 watts.
Disabling LLDP across the Mikrotik POE Switches would appear to let the Cambium avoid that 13watt setting it was setting.
“Markoff_DJ2_North(config)# show power
Platform Requirements: 13.30W min to boot, 51.00W max to draw
Physical Layer Power Range: Unknown.”
When i was testing this on the bench before deployment… thats the power display we were seeing before. Thinking the new firmware in Mikrotik might have had something to do with it.
Since turning off LLDP on all the Tiks, I have seen the AP draw 15watts at the port. I guess I need to see if the LED turned Blue on the next visit.
As to the flooding of the LLDP packets…
Switch 2 at the DJ Booth did have bridge control settings set to none. When RTSP was enabled the unit kept crashing.
