Local License Key : Not valid key for current device

Hi.

I have to replace a bad unit. I am trying to download config file and uploud it to a new ePMP2000. When uploading config file I get this error. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you.

I have forwarded this to our support and development teams

Hi,

License Key is associated with radio's MAC address, so it is not possible to apply it to another radio.

Please open a ticket with Cambium Support.

Thank you.

To let everyone know how this ended.

As discussed with Cambium Support we found out that licence key is stored into configuration file and is also downloaded when doing a backup of configuration.
License key is attached to device MAC address and works only on specific device. In order to transfer backup configuration to a new device, you have to edit configuration file and delete license key that is inside and then upload it to new device.

@Fedor, do you agree, or is there any other option recommended?
Kind regards

Hi,

do you mean to edit the item:

"systemConfigOperationalLicense": " ",

If yes, to set the default licence key do I have to leave the code empty between brackets or delete the entire line?

Thanks a lot
