long shot with epmp4600c

epmp4600c… Is this radio reliable for critical link? I mean is the fw stable and reliable, mature? Can I refer to linkplanner, is it accurate?

BTW AFC seem to be random from my experience, 1 given coordinate allow me to use every channel at 36eirp, and 200ft away I cant, a lot of busy channels. Probably something I didnt get duh.

I’m new with cambium stuff sorry.

It’s 100% reliable. You can find many stories f success with F4600 on that forum.
If you can give us coordinates, we can verify if AFC works as expected and there is no error there.
Feel free to reach out in DM to me.

Thanks.

To add a bit of extra information to this post. The AFC tool and link planner only shows licensed use. This means that other carriers in the area (including cambium customers) will not show up on the AFC tool. The only way to know the noise in your area at present is to get a radio in the air and run a spectrum with it.

As noted, the AFC only shows channel availability and EIRP, not what is in actual use. You will need to user the spectrum analyzer to determine that. PTP links are stable, though we do get an occasional RX KEEP ALIVE STUCK when using 160.mhz channels. 80 Mhz channel are very stable. Uptime counter from a PTP link we put up over 4 months ago running 5.9.2 that has not blipped at all and we’ve been through some pretty severe weather..
