LTE co-location requirements

We are requesting for colocation LTE in 3.6GHz, and we’ve been asked to verify that we meet some critereas. I have not been able to find documentation on these questions, but maybe someone here can point me in the right direction?

The requirements we’ve been asked to verify is:

  • Sub carrier spacing: 30 kHz
  • Maximum deviation from UTC as described in ITU-T G.8271 of +/- 1,5 µs

Welcome to the community, oldmic!
I believe the spacing spec they are asking you to verify is a 5G spec. cnRanger, Telrad, Baicells, BLiNQ, and others are 4G, and the subcarrier spacing is 15 kHz currently.

When you say you “are requesting for colocation LTE in 3.6 GHz” what exactly do you mean?

What is your location (i.e. what country are you in)?
What equipment are you trying to co-locate?

We’re in Norway, and investigating the possibilites to colocate PMP450 (i’s and m’s) along 5G LTE.
Our lisense is terminated at the end of 22, and we’re looking to rent spectrum from the new spectrum owners.

The 3 GHz PMP 450/450i/450m APs currently support co-location with LTE. You can find more information on how to configure this feature and which LTE frames are supported here: https://www.cambiumnetworks.com/resource/pmp-450-platform-and-lte-co-location-guide/
The subcarrier spacing for PMP products is not the same as in 4G/5G standards. It also varies with the channel BW.
We are planning to extend this feature to be able to also co-locate with 5G. Which 5G frame do you need to co-locate with?

Great! Do you have an estimated time frame for 5G co-location?

We have to comply with Frame A as described in this document: https://docdb.cept.org/download/1737#:~:text=ECC%20recommendation%2020(03)%20of,frequency%20band%203400-3800%20MHz

Thanks for the frame information.
This feature will be supported in the first half of 2022.
