Manage Xirrus Arrays/APs in cnMaestro. Does this work?

I still have quite a few Xirrus XR-4836 running in event venues and don’t want to replace them until Cambium has APs with sector antennas for high-density situations in its portfolio.

The Xirrus APs are currently still running under XMS-C, but Cambium will soon be “retiring” XMS-C. Perhaps Cambium will change its mind if more customers/partners are interested in continuing to use XMS-C. However, I can temporarily switch to my XMS-Enterprise license.

Question: does anyone use the transitional solution offered by Cambium to run Xirrus Arrays/APs in cnMaestro? How well does this work and how does it work in the field if parameters such as channels, SSIDs etc. are to be adjusted on the Xirrus arrays?

Does anyone have experience with this solution?

My situation is similar to yours, and seeing that XMS-Enterprise is light years ahead of cnMaestro in advanced Wi-Fi system management (I am referring mainly to advanced RF parameters), my conclusion is that Xirrus APs will die with XMS-Enterprise. Any other approach is out of the question, at least for now. cnMaestro is not a tool designed for advanced Wi-Fi parameter management, although neither are Cambium APs. These are designed to come out of the box working in automatic mode, which they do quite well, considering they are an automatic system. Managing Xirrus with cnMaestro would be like going back to kindergarten after getting a PhD. It only serves to move them administratively, and not very well at that.
