Matrix 2052 (Layer 3) not forwarding layer 2 DHCP packets

Hi All

We cannot get a CNMatrix 2052 to forward DHCP packets
A firewall is our DHCP server,plugged into this core 2052 but we cannot get this setup to work.
Has anybody else had an issue like this ?

I think that is problem with your FW configuration.

We are not aware of any DHCP issue. Is dhcp snooping enabled on the cnmatrix switch?Please share your network topology and the switch’s configuration using CLI command ‘show running-config’.

Thanks.

Hi Tam

No - DHCP is not enabled on the switch.

@TamN said “dhcp-snooping”, not dhcp.
dhcp snooping blocks dhcp request from not-trsuted interfaces

apologies I meant dhcp-snooping is not enabled. !!!

Hi Siobhan, Please connect to the switch via SSH and run the following CLI commands. Let me know the switch ports connecting to the DHCP server and to the device that requests dhcp ip address.

show running-config
show interface counters
show mac-address-table
show spanning-tree

Thanks.
