[New Feature - 5.11.0] Asymmetric Uplink Bandwidth – Enhanced Support for Management Frames

Applicable Versions: 5.11.0
Applicable Platforms: ePMP4600, ePMP4600L, F4625, F4616

The 5.11 release introduces an enhancement to the Asymmetric Uplink Bandwidth feature, extending its functionality to include management frames. This improvement increases the likelihood of successful SM connections at long range when uplink RSSI approaches the sensitivity threshold.

This capability is especially valuable in FCC regions, where ePMP 6 GHz platforms operate with AFC and SMs initially connect to the AP in Standard Client mode.

For all 6 GHz deployments during installation, it is recommended to enable Asymmetric Uplink Bandwidth using the smallest uplink channel size (20 MHz). The narrower bandwidth provides SMs with higher transmit power and improved sensitivity while maintaining full downlink throughput.

The feature is enabled by default and requires no additional configuration.
