Hey thanks for the information.
In my comment, you’ll notice I said that it’s a little hard to get the L in my neck of the woods whereas the C is plentiful, therefore one would surmise that I was attempting to make the best of a bad situation.
As per my last email lol.
A product surely, but licenses should be online!!!
Agreed, software products should be online and immediate. I’ve heard from multiple Distis that selling licenses are more of a headache to them and they would be fine slinging hardware only.
I say this with love, and hoping these suggestions are heard as such…
But Yes – the amount of time & effort & inefficiencies that Cambium puts into shooting themselves in the foot on things… I can’t imagine that a $99 license fee is worth it for the time for a distributor, AND after the distro get’s their chunk, is the left over worth it for Cambium… and for the WISP, the cumbersome and time-consuming bureaucracy to get that license key. And when the radio which has that license key dies at 8PM on Christmas Eve, and no humans are around for the next 4-5 days to get a replacement license key… it’s just all cumbersome.
Heck, I don’t feel like I even want to call and ask questions, without having to commit a “spend agreement” before the conversation. I want to be able to go online at 3AM and order a license key (and replacement radio door covers) without talking to RSM and Distro.
