No-charge upgrades available for PTP 650L and PTP 650 MID capacity radios

Some existing PTP 650 customers are eligible for a no-charge upgrade to their radios.

With the recent announcement of price reductions on certain PTP 650 capacity key upgrades and the elimination of others there are a couple of items that existing PTP 650 customers should review to see if applicable to their networks.

  1. Customers with MID capacity keys on a PTP 650
    1. We have eliminated the MID level capacity key on PTP 650 products.
    2. If you have a radio that has been upgraded to MID capacity you are now eligible for a no-charge upgrade to FULL capacity
    3. if you have a MID capacity key that you haven’t yet applied, you can now apply this MID capacity key and you will automatically receive a FULL capacity key
    4. Collect the MAC address of your radio and visit the PTP 650 license key page at: https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/licensekeys/ptp650 . Enter the MAC address for the radio you want to upgrade, select country of operation and then click submit.
    5. You will receive via an e-mail an updated license key that can be applied in the PTP 650 radio GUI to upgrade the radio (see the PTP 650 user guide for more information about applying upgrade keys).
  1. Customers with PTP 650L products capped at 10MHz channel maximum
    1. We have eliminated the 10 MHz to 30 MHz channel capacity upgrade on PTP 650L
    2. If you have a PTP 650L with the 10 MHz channel capacity limit you are now eligible for a no-charge upgrade to a 30 MHz capacity (up to 300 Mbps).
    3. Collect the MAC address of your radio and visit the PTP 650 license key page at: https://support.cambiumnetworks.com/licensekeys/ptp650 . Enter the MAC address for the radio you want to upgrade, select country of operation and then click submit.
    4. You will receive via an e-mail an updated license key that can be applied in the PTP 650L radio GUI to upgrade the radio. (see the PTP 650 user guide for more information about applying upgrade keys).
