Given the severity of Cambium Networks administrative resolution, the cloud managed - or cnMaestro in the cloud will most likely be going dark come October 1st [based on company statement].
Does ANYONE know if Cambium has a newer on-prem build - internal build - that is available for release that will support their NSE appliances?
We are lost and dead in water with no ability to remotely maintain and manage the NSE security appliances.
Can Cambium PLEASE drop a new internal build of cn-maestro on-prem that allows us to manage NSE’s?
We are rolling our own on-prem self-managed instance in order to support our customers, but so far will only work for wireless devices.
I am ignorant to this stuff and trying to learn, please forgive my ignorance! I want to setup the on premise with a virtual machine but I am usure of what to use for physical hardware to facilitate the on premise cnmaestro and VM software, any insight/help would greatly appreciated!
Me too. I never drank the cool aid of cnMaestroX (and I avoided by cambium Wi-Fi routers/APs because of their reliance on it and the monthly fees) but we still need a solution to our cnMaestro Essentials for managing our existing ePMP gear.
Also - these Forums. Years and years worth of useful information, and contacts and communications with other Cambium WIPSs… these Forums have been extremely valuable, and it would be a blow to have all this information disappear October 1st as well. Someone should be backing up the forums hopefully…
(That said, I know the statement implies that the fixed Wireless business and ePMP will likely survive and continue… so I also expect that there will be a plan for cnMaestro and Forums and Firmware development ongoing… but just in case)
Ok - So i have managed to download the ova of latest cnMaestro 6.0 and am deploying it on a HP server in our server room. Will update you all on how it goes.
@Fedor Can you help be a internal resource and try to get NSE brought on-prem… so we can on-prem manage? There’s no local webUI.
Otherwise all of Vijay and his efforts are dead. I hope Vijay goes somewhere else and brings his experience to restart what they were doing.
We’re going to lose thousands of dollars to replace NSE’s at customer sites because of this. Appears Cambium leaving to hang and the product die off the vine.
