Path Profile from Google Earth

I noted a "tip" that it is possible to obtain a path profile from Google Earth.  This could be most useful in initial path evaluation in rural New South Wales.  Has anyone used it?

Hi John,

The “Preview link profiles” is a useful feature to quickly see whether the paths to the nearby sites are likely to be obstructed, before creating links between sites. It is available on the Google Earth map view within LINKPlanner, where you can switch on the “Preview link profiles” option by selecting the profile icon.

If you then select a network site it will show a preview of the profile to the nearest other network sites, see the example below. This feature is not yet available for PMP links between an AP and subscriber sites.
