Hi Team,
In cnMaestro X there is an option for PBA MAC Lists. Does anyone know how/where MAC address can be added to this list?
Thanks,

Hi Jarrod!
Got an answer from our engineers:
Here are hte MAC list format requirements:
PBA MAC list file restrictions
A. A MAC list file must contain a single MAC address or a comma-separated list of 2…200 MAC
addresses (e.g., 11:22:33:44:55:66,88 99 aa bb cc dd,334455667788)
B. Comma-separated non-MAC address data in the file is automatically skipped during data parsing
C. Acceptable MAC address formats
D. A maximum of ten (10) MAC list files can be stored on the switch at any time
E. A MAC list file name must be 1…64 alphanumeric characters (plus ‘-‘, ‘_’ and ‘.’)
F. Defining a PBA MAC-LIST rule requires a MAC list file to be specified at the same time. Only currently
downloaded MAC list files can be referenced by a PBA rule
G. MAC list files that are referenced by a rule cannot be deleted
Does this answer your question?

Hi Kinan,
Thank you for following this up for us, much appreciated.
How best to we go about hosting the MAC list files? Do we run a TFTP service locally and point the MAC List File Server Settings to this? If so, I assume the switches make contact locally to this TFTP service to download the lists.
Ideally it would be great to have the MAC list hosted and edited within cnMaestro
Thanks again,
Jarrod
Hi Jarrod! another response on this
If the customer already has a server set-up to support upload/download of switch images, configuration files or switch technical data, this could be used for PBA MAC list file support. Otherwise, a basic TFTP server would work just as well for this purpose. The server information would need to be configured on the switch via cnMaestro (or any other user-interface) and the identified MAC list file downloaded. A download can be initiated manually (CLI, Web) or automatically following a cnMaestro configuration push.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards
Kinan
