Please stop taking away LOCAL Dashboard

CnMaestro is SLOW. I don’t care how you try and frame it. Its slow.

I used to hate working with UniF–k because of the time it took for the AP to send info to the server. It had to be parsed then displayed in the webgui.

That’s rocket speed compared to the cnmaestro.

For as long as I have been around cambium I have always thought of cnmaestro as a configurator. Its just not reasonable to get information several minutes later when trying to trouble shoot.

SOP for me is to open all the APs local GUIs and toggle between the tabs. This will update every 5 seconds. Which is usually good enough.

Yesterday was a new deployment and the tech on site asked that I Override SSID 2 and change it. Enter into cnmaestro and about 30 seconds later he says he see the SSID in the air. Ofcourse in cnmaestro it still shows his device connected to the SSID that I just changed. A minute or 2 later and it shows it connected to the old SSID and the new one.

Since the APs were new they shipped with 7.x firmware. Try to hit the local gui and it tells me it has the default password. But no amount of entry of the default or the system password gets me anywhere.

“THATS ENOUGH OF THAT!”

Went into the AP group. Devices. Software update and downgraded the XV2-2s and XV2-23T to 6.x. Reloaded the webpages and my familiar dashboard is back. Set refresh time to 5 seconds and now I can see that the tech is connected to the XV2-2 in the office with his EPSK key and in the right subnet, INSTANTLY.

Please keep the dashboard page. I can see right away if the radio is disabled due to 3 reboots. I can track a device as it moves between APs. I can see right away if a device got an IP from the right dhcp-server…

Hey @Springs , I (and others) have been asking for this FOREVER, but it appears Cambium has no interest in supporting the local GUI with all of the features it used to have. It really is bad they are removing all of the things from the GUI. I agree, cnMaestro is horrible for real-time troubleshooting.
