A few weeks ago our prizm server started randomly rebooting itself, at first it was just every few days. Then about a week ago it started rebooting itself every 30 minutes. The only evidence I have that it is causing it is that it has not crashed since I turned off prizm and all of it’s related processes. According to the what little logging there is being captured before the reboot, it is acting as if Prizm is running out of physical memory and then decides to kernel panic and reboot.
Anyone else run into this?
Have you checked the cooling? It will run smooth until you put some stress on it (ie Prizm) and possibly overheating the processor or powersupply, causing a reboot. I have also seen the PSU become weak, so replacing that with another, even larger one, may resolve the issue.
