I’m going through the process of updating a radio to 12.9 and needed access to information that lists which versions can be skipped and which cannot while upgrading to 12.9. I see that table on page 34/88 of the version of the 12.9 release notes I have, which I fairly recently downloaded.
Anyways, the sentence above that has a serios warning about “RMA at the customer’s expense” in red has what may or may not be an intentional typo it reads “The following are supported upgrade paths to System Release 12.7” where I would have expected it to read “The following are supported upgrade paths to System Release 12.9” with 12.9 instead of 12.7 since it’s the 12.9 release notes.
That does bring up a concern. Can I skip from 12.1 to 12.9 or are all the listings of 12.9 potentially also typos where they should have read 12.1 > 12.7 > 12.9? I have been assuming I should go from 12.1 to 12.7 thus far and will do that today, but I would ask if any confusion from the release notes can be fixed if it hasn’t already been in a replacement release notes version or at least in any newer than 12.9 version I think somtimes is referred to as CeraOS and sometimes as just firmware.
