PTP Frequencies

I am trying to find a way to tag frequencies to PTP links on unlicensed bands, the same way that we do with licensed PTP links.

Anyone have an idea or if I may be over looking a feature that is already there.

PTP Link Formatting and PMP Formatting!

I hope this helps!

I am sorry but we don't offer the ability to select specific transmit frequencies for unlicensed band products at the moment (except for PTP 550). If you want to be able to record channels against your links, then you may want to consider using our Custom Fields feature, where you could build a list of the channels you are using and then allocate them to each PTP link.

Please see this section in our User Guide for more information on Custom Fields, http://linkplanner.cambiumnetworks.com/doc/custom_fields.html

Have you tried putting the channel frequency (in MHz) into the link name and then querying (via link formatting rules on “Name”) on the channels?

You could also label each frequency, put the label in the link name, and then query on the label, like this:

5810 is alpha

5820 is bravo

5830 is Charlie

And then color “Alpha” blue, “Bravo” green, and “Charlie” periwinkle.

You probably want the label to be short and sweet and nothing like the actual link name so that the queries work properly.

This will allow you to color each frequency a different color.

Is that what you’re looking for?

It’s a kludge, but it works

Thanks for the suggestions, I will give them a try and see which one works best for my application.Â
