PTP650 to PTP600 compatibility

Hi All

I have an existing PTP600 link that is down. It appears to only be one end that has failed. 

Can I use a PTP650 in a 30MHz channel to connect to the existing PTP600?

In other words; is there backwards compatibility between the 650 and 600?

No.  the PTP 650 is not backwards compatible with the PTP 600.

This was done to enable some of the new features on the the PTP 650 such as higher modulations in all channel bandwidths, better spectral efficiency and 1588v2/SyncE.
