In the PTP820C radio 1 is the lower radio within the chassis and is treated as H-pol through an OMT kit and radio 2 is the uper radio within the chassis and is treated as the V-pol through the OMT kit for dual-pol links (XPIC and ACAP). This is important to note in order to be in compliance with frequency assignments for cross-pol links and to avoid creating and receiving interference if this is configured backwards.
In the PTP820C-HP this is reversed. Radio 1 is the upper radio and radio 2 is the lower radio. The OMT PTP820C-HP OMT kit treats the upper port as V-pol and the lower port as H-pol, much like the PTP820C OMT kit. In other words radio 1 is V-pol and radio 2 is H-pol in PTP820C-HP, the opposite of PTP820C.
