We have two PTP850’s new out of the box that reboot themselves after about 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Anyone else experience this issue and if so how did you remedy it?

I have had several PTP850C 18GHz radios that will reboot every 2 minutes and 30 seconds as well. I have just been replacing them, but I also would like to know what is going on. Could it be a software or firmware issue?
Hello Colin,
I’ve heard this happing before due to PoE/Power and Grounding issues; please be aware that the PTP850x uses a Positive Ground (-48VDC). This means you’ll need to bond the + power terminal to the ground, including onto the metal structure of the tower - this is similar to many LTE eNodeB installations if you’re familiar with positive grounding in telecommunications.
You really need to be aware of this, as it may cause a lot of random faults and make troubleshooting difficult. This -48VDC and positive grounding are very common in the telecommunications industry, and Cambium Networks OEM partner is used heavily in this space.
