Radio Frequency Carrier Setting is invalid. Unit will not transmit until correct carrier has been configured

Finally got our first CBRS AP fired up today with CNMaestro on premise in use. Requested a grant and got a 20 MHz authorization for 3580-3600. The radio says “Radio Frequency Carrier Setting is invalid. Unit will not transmit until correct carrier has been configured.” Looking on the AP under Configuration->Radio it says Channel Frequency: None, Channel Bandwidth: 20.0 MHz. CNMaestro doesn’t seem to notice any problem.

Are you sure you have your region settings correct (Other - Regulatory, FCC) and you have performed a sync from cnMaestro under CBRS?

I think my region settings are correct: Region Code: United States. Many syncs have been performed. On the quick start->radio configuration page Please select Carrier Frequency from the list : only offers none. I think this is correct for CBRS.

Could you make sure if the Frequency Band is set to 3.6 GHz on the Radio page, and then go to Custom Frequencies tab and check if it lists the required frequencies. You could also do ‘Add Default Frequencies’ (could be followed by ‘Remove Default Frequencies’), which should add the required frequencies in the CBRS band.

Frequency band is set to 3.5. I changed to 3.6 and rebooted and the error message is gone and the AP appears working. I can see the AP now has the correct frequency shown.

Is there a way to verify it is actually transmitting?

THANKS

Normally if you don’t see any errors on the Home->General Status page it should be transmitting on the Channel Frequency/Bandwidth/Transmit Power or EIRP shown there.
Otherwise as obviously, I would say is to use an SM or other device in range to scan the spectrum and observe power on the AP’s channel.

use “other” in region settings.
