Radios not syncing at 1Gb - bug found

I won’t bore you with the story, but after going crazy I discovered there’s a bug that can make your radios only sync with switch at 100Mbps rather than 1Gb.

This was caused by replacing the radio and using the backup feature, then uploading the config to a new radio. Yes I chose “do not support unsupported configuration elements” when I uploaded the backup file.

If you have a cambium radio that will not sync at 1Gb, and it got its config from a restore, try factory resetting it and manually building the config.

This is obviously a bug, but I cannot tell you what firmware as i’m not sure what the radio was running when I saved the buggy config file. I tried 4 radios and none of them would sync at 1Gb. Tried 2 switches and still no sync. Went mad then realised it might be the config file. Reset the radios then all 4 of them would sync at 1Gb.

This was a nasty bug that had me thinking first the cable was bad, then the switch was bad …

Good luck to you all. Speed your shiz up and beat Elon with better service

Can you advise what version you are using, as we have seen the same on some units (along with unreliable connections to the LAN side Cambium)
We are on 4.7

Hi @riddle,
Could you please specify the radio models on which you are experiencing this issue?
Thank you!

Hello @David_Zilm,

I recommend using the Raise Ticket option in the top right corner of this page and attaching the tech support files where the issue occurs.
Our engineer will assist you in isolating the problem!

Tnx Andrii

RMA for one set of units already in progress via reseller (2 weeks with them and no ETA on replacement).
Same issue with second set, but 3rd set went into service without issues. Likely there will be RMA for the 2nd set too when my negineer gets a chance to raise it.
