Sending syslog data to a syslog server on an non default port.

Would it be possible to allow the sending of syslog data to a port other than the default 514  i have tried using ip:port number like normal and the interface rejects that and states that only an IP address can be used.

We need this too,  very important.

is there a way via SSH to change the syslog (out) servers's port ?  (ie use 8000 vs default 514) .  tks
