Short guard interval, sync timing

I didn't see any warnings in the documentation about short guard interval changing the sync timing.  Can we run some APs with SGI co-located with other 2000 APs in legacy mode until we migrate to all short?

After thinking about it and a little reading I answered my question.  The guard interval is reduced from 800ns to 400ns, but symbol size stays the same at 4 micro sec.
