SNMP Changes causes reboot to devices?

We are dealing with few PTP and PMP devices (e.g.: PMP 450b, PTP 54500, and PTP 820S). I am considering updating the SNMP community string on these. However, since they are in production, I wanted to be 100% sure that this would NOT cause a reboot to these devices. I looked up online and the general idea is that it won’t cause a reboot, but I was not able to get a confirmation. Is anyone aware of this?

Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately each of the products you list have very different development history and they don’t run the same software, so the answer is likely to be different for each platform.

For PTP54500, I believe a reboot is required after changing any of the SNMP settings, based on this extract from the PTP500 user guide:

I cannot speak to the other products.

Thank you so much! Specially for linking the page with the user guides for different models. I was not able to get to it just by googling it. Much appreciated.
