Snmp name and description

Hi,

while I have a customized name and description my device, snmp get these:

SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Cambium cnWave V1000 Distribution Node, Version 1.2.2.1-beta3
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: Cambium cnWave V1000 Client Node, Version 1.2.2.1-beta3

SNMPv2-MIB::sysName.0 = STRING: node-00-04-56-**-**-**

Is it normal?

Devices: cnWave 1000, ptp configuration, e2e onboard.

Did you find a way around this? I am experiencing the same.

Today sysName is reflecting the node’s MAC address. In the next beta/release we will correct this. SNMPv2-MIB::sysName will show node’s name as in the E2E topology.
