Software Update of 60 GHz cnWave devices using cnMaestro

This article explains the software update procedure of 60 GHz cnWave devices using cnMaestro. Here using below deployment with 5 60 GHz cnWave devices to update the software

Downloading Software Package

Download the Software Package from the cnWave support site which is in .tar.gz format with the name cnWave60-< release version >.tar.gz. Example cnWave60-1.0.tar.gz

Upload Software Package

• Login to the cnMaestro and navigate to Application>Server>Software Images

or Navigate to 60 GHz cnWave E2E network>Software Update>Add New

• Under Add Software Image, select 60 GHz cnWave and click on Add Image

• In Add Software image window, click on Select File button and upload software package (.tar.gz) which is downloaded. Optional select Recommended if required and click on Add image button

• Upload progress can be seen in Add Image software page. Once upload completes, two images will be listed with names “60 GHz cnWave V3000/V5000” and “60 GHz cnWave V1000”

Software Package Update

• Navigate to 60 GHz cnWave E2E network>Software Update and select the software package listed under Versions

• Select all or devices which you want to update the software package and then click on Add Software Job to devices button

Software Update Job Status

• Navigate to Application>Jobs>Software Update

or Navigate to 60 GHz cnWave E2E Network>Software Update and click on View Update Jobs

• Below is the Software update status

  • Queued:

  • Processing: While processing, can view the status bar for software update status of devices (Success, Skipped, Failed, Remaining)

Click on Show More button to view software update in-detail for each device.

Below are the different status of software update of each device

  1. Upgrade Request submitted to E2E controller
  2. Downloading metadata
  3. Flashing Image
  4. Image Flashed, Waiting for Reboot
  5. Successfully Updated the device version to < release version >

  • Completed: After completion of software update job, can view the status bar for software update status of devices (Success, Skipped, Failed, Remaining)
