A test settings mode would be nice ,just in case the settings we enter don't work so well that it will revert to previous settings.

I posted a near identical idea on this site. Great minds think alike. I think a confirm settings after reboot would solve this. Once confirmed that becomes the primary config file. If not confirmed within 'x' period of time it will reboot to the current primary config file.
