Unclaim Wi-Fi Access Point

We have deployed 16 E400 and E500 access points. But the account was created with a wrong name. We created another account with the correct name and want to onboard the devices to the new account.

We could not find a way to unclaim devices from the old account.

Hi ,

If the devices are not apporved after onboarding go to cnMaestro Home Page -> Onboard Devices and click delete for the device to be unclaimed in the right hand corner.

If  the devices are already onboarded and approved you can unclaim the devices from the Inventory page by clicking on the Delete icon in the right hand corner last column of the Inventory grid.

Thanks,

KR.

Hi,

I don't want to reconfigure everything.

I want to import all configuration as well to the new account.

Hi ,

Please raise a support ticket to move the account with all the data.

Thanks,

KR.

If you are not using device-level overrides you can export your AP Groups and WLANs from one account and import them into another.  On the AP Group and WLAN pages there are buttons at the far right for exporting for each entry.

At the top right of each page there is a button for importing.  WLANs must be imported before AP Groups so they can be linked correctly.  Otherwise you may get WLAN not found errors.

Device-level overrides cannot be exported/imported in this manner.  Seek help from customer support in this case.
