Updating PMP430 SM's over PMP450 AP?

I have many 430's still on 13.2.1 and 13.4 firmwares. I have tried to update them into versions 14.x and 15.x and however they all seem to fail the update and reboot with the same firmware as before. I have cnut configured correctly to update the PMP430 radios, but they fail the update. Is there a different firmware upgrade path that must be used with a 430 vs the 450, or is the 450 AP just not able to update the 430's properly?

Are you using the latest version of CNUT?  It can be found here.

What is the exact error message from CNUT?

This is often the issue. If the 430 is attached to 450, and CNUT version is 4.12.7 (i.e. current version), this should work.

jthomsen,

This is a radio device issue. PMP 430 SMs are special in that they could connect to PMP 430 AP or PMP 450 APs. However, in the latest software we ended support for 430 mode and now support only PMP 450 mode.

To get PMP 430s up the latest software they will all first need to be upgraded to 14.1.2. Then they can be direectly upgraded to 15.X. Sorry about this inconvience but it was necessary due to hardware limitations on the 430 SM.

After 14.1.2 (14.2 and later) PMP the 430 SM only support 450 mode.
