Cambium, in Wi-Fi7 only offers the X7-35V, it is a modern AP but not suitable for high density environments like in my case.
I already asked if Cambium was planning new APs with higher capacity for demanding environments, the answer was no, that would not happen anyway.
Maybe the 6e models with 6Ghz radios could be upgraded to Wi-Fi 7 via software, if the hardware allows it of course (I think they are programmable radios in this case).
I have seen at a recent trade show the next WiFi 7 AP for high density, I believe it’s in beta testing soon so hopefully someone on the Cambium side will be able to share more, so yes there is definitely a product coming!
Next year I have to replace many Xirrus XA4-240 (4 SDR radios, external antennas) in a fairly large event venue because Cambium is discontinuing the XMS cloud. I hope that an access point for high densities and with WiFi 7 will be available by then, ideally with SDR radios for flexibility and, maybe, external sector antennas.
