Use alt color codes on 3GHz PMP 450b during suspension

It would be handy if the 3GHz PMP 450b SM had an option to try switching to a secondary or tertiary color code if it’s blocked via grant suspension on the primary color code.

Here’s my scenario: I have a PMP 450m AP with 4 CBRS grants (10 MHz each for 40 MHz total channel width). 2 subscribers were suspended overnight on 2 of the 4 channels during a software update. Why they got suspended is irrelevant. The 450m has a “Threshold for Channel Change” option that if enough subscribers over a configurable threshold cannot transmit due to suspension, it’ll limit the AP as needed. In this case, it theoretically would have dropped to transmitting on 20 of the 40 MHz for all SMs on the sector. This would dramatically impact performance, so is far from ideal.

In my case, when I have a second AP at the same location on a different frequency, and I already have the subscribers configured to use the second AP via secondary/tertiary color codes, it would be nice if the CPE could try switching to the other color code when it’s otherwise blocked from transmitting. When only 1 or 2 CPEs lose bridging due to SAS changes, this is much less intrusive than having the entire AP limit itself, and is how I manually fixed my scenario.

Better yet, the 450m could manage to transmit to affected customers only on the limited channel width and use the full width for everyone else.
