Is there a way to factory reset a v5000 without being able to access the GUI

Are you able to make a wired connection directly to the device and access the Recovery Mode GUI?

Yes I will try that.

This works, definitely took a few tries. I left a ping going and then finally got through on microsoft edge only, then chose to boot into recovery mode. after that it was all good.

The short reset takes a little getting use to but it does allow you to recovery units which you may not be able to physically reach.
