V5000 to V1000 building simple link but backwards?

I am no expert by any means but am running 8 cnWave meshes… all with a v5000 at the PoP, then two or three v1000’s scattered about. Pretty easy, add a site, add a node, then build a link between the v5000(sector 1 or 2) and the v1000. I have probably built 50 links and it’s not rocket science. A-node is always the v5000 and z-node is always the v1000.

I am having an issue with a link and I have wiped and rebuilt it several times….. even though I explicitly configure to use the v5000 as the a-node and the v1000 as the z-node, it shows up under links in reverse with the v1000 showing as the a-node! Wondering if I accidently clicked or forgot to click a box that would cause that?

Link is flapping and that is the only thing out of the ordinary.

“A” or “Z” are just used to name two ends of a link. It does not matter whether a node shows up as “A-Node” or “Z-Node”. There is no impact to the functionality.

If link is unstable, you may want to check your link quality. Sometimes it may self-interference or maybe require small adjustment of the radio orientation.

Adding to @yonghaolin’s answer:
“A” or “Z” does not specify any order. DN could be either A or Z, and similarly for a CN.
The software chooses the A node based on the lexicographical (dictionary) order of the node names.
