Canopy acts as a layer 2 bridge so you can see many types of traffic passing through the modules. However they can be categorized as follows:
Unicast- Packets are addressed to a specific user.
Multicast- A form of broadcast but end users must specifically accept packets.
Broadcast- Packets sent to all users on the network.
