What is Header De-Duplication?

Header De-Duplication is an option on the PTP 820(x) platform that enables operators to significantly improve Ethernet traffic throughput over the radio link by removing redundant information found in the header of and Ethernet frame without affecting user traffic.  The depth of Header De-Duplication can be configured (meaning which part of the header will be affected by the de-duplication) up to Layer 4.
