Win2K Professional OS’s have an option in Network Connections to create an “Incoming Connection” interface. I toyed with this years ago and it is basically like a watered down PPTP VPN Connection. It uses TCP 1723.
I cannot remember the details of my experiment, but it would something to try as an alternative to VNC.
