By default WM polls status of the devices every 15 minutes, as well as different statistics at different intervals depending on importance.
To get the most out of the monitoring and fault management capabilies of WM, the following recommendations should be followed:
- Configure the devices to send SNMP traps to WM. By default they do not do this.
- Configure WM to generate alarms based on received statistic thresholds. Refer to the User Guide for the exact steps to accomplish this.
