Wi-Fi Clients Unable to Communicate with LAN Devices

Issue Summary:
In our organization, we use several Cambium Access Points and manage them through cnMaestro. We’re experiencing intermittent connectivity issues where Wi-Fi-connected devices (e.g., printers, laptops, desktops) are unable to communicate with devices on the LAN.

Details:

  • Wi-Fi clients can reach the internet without issues.
  • LAN devices can ping Wi-Fi devices, but Wi-Fi devices often cannot ping or access most LAN devices.
  • The issue resolves when the affected device is connected to the LAN directly (wired).
  • Client isolation is disabled.
  • tracert from Wi-Fi devices stops at the data center for each site.
  • I cannot locate any DHCP settings pointing to a specific server or scope.
  • We have around 15 sites- this has been consistently happening at 1 site for about 2 years, and just started at another site. All other sites have no issues, and I cannot find any setting differences.

We’re trying to determine if this is a configuration issue with the APs, the VLANs, or a routing/firewall policy preventing local communication from Wi-Fi to LAN.
