That PoE out seems the perfect answer for a 60Ghz backhaul.
yes exactly. any options with this AP to be a core part to your network.
We change power supply on N000000L034A, but no result.
the channel does not work more than 150-200 m
so you are using what 5GHz or 2.4GHz? I assume 2.4GHz if you have 28dBm as max power as for 5GHz the max should be 27dBm (for FCC regions). Depending on your region maybe 28dBm is ok for 5GHz as well. What is the channel BW setting? On the client side what is the max TX power level? Is the issue on uplink or downlink or both? For 2.4GHz line-of-sight and 5GHz line-of-Sight you should be able to sustain You should easily get 300 meters unless there are major obstructions between the AP and client. How high is the AP mounted relative to the clients that it is to be servicing?
Using 2.4GHz with 28dBm power channel 20MHz. AP mounted 10m
Client side power 26dBm.
For 2.4GHz line-of-sight bad signal 100-200m.
Not in line of sight (behind the house) more than 70 meters do not work
Does the client see the AP at all? Is an RSSI value showing? Do you have another Cambium AP to try and compare to?
madmax123 so your AP is mounted 10 m high and the client is behind the AP about 70m away and there is a wall between is that correct? What kind of wall is it? Does it give you an RSSI on the client side and the AP side that you can share?
same issue 2.4GHz band or 5GHz band correct? Did you try another client as well?
Why is this happening. If the client is not yet connected power 28dBm but after connecting client it drops to 20dbm
What could be the problem?
Yeah, that should not be happening. Maybe a strange web UI issue or is this was just after the radio was enabled and it had not finalized the radio initialization. Anyways can you please take a tech-support log before the client connects with when the radio is at a power of 28 and another one after the client connects and the radio power is at 20. Then email me both of those logs to gary.hansen@cambiumnetworks.com ? Thanks, we should be able to get to the bottom of that pretty quickly.
Thanks for the quick response, I send tech log
still an issue here? were you able to send the log?
