PTP820C is a dual core radio, which provide over 1Gbps full duplex throughput when both cores activated. Sometimes people need more capacity, a 4+0 setup with two of hte PTP820C on each end can support more than 2Gbbps throughput.
There are two different setups:
1. 2 x PTP820C dual core setup with one dual polarity antenna.
customer can choose XPIC or ACAP(Adjacent Channel alternative Polarity)
We are currently trying to do this with 850C’s. If I have both radio’s configured as 2+0 do I have to do anything special to connect them to make it 4+0 or is it already there by definition?
You need to cable the two radios per required by the installation guide, you can also refer to the technical description document, both are available from the cambium website. Then you need to configure one of the radio and main and the other radio as mate. You can follow the quick config - also please refer to userguide.
