Provisioning in OLT configuration

The Provisioning feature allows users to manage various configuration pages, enabling administrators to streamline the setup process, ensuring faster and more accurate device deployments.

Settings

The newly added Settings feature allows you to perform various tasks such as:

  • Onboarding: Add and register new devices to the system.
    • ONT Onboarding Time Optimization: Reduced onboarding time to integrate 500 ONTs in about 15 minutes, with faster performance for smaller batches.
  • Default Uplink: Allows to configure the primary connection path for devices.
  • Interface to Profile: Allows a user to monitor an uplink interface mapped to which service profile.

Services

The newly added Services Profiles page has been enhanced to support various VLAN configurations such as:

  • Access VLAN
  • Mapped VLAN
  • VLAN Passthrough
  • Q-in-Q Tunnel
  • Q-in-Q Trunk
  • Custom

These options provide flexibility, enabling the creation of service profiles based on the requirements.

  • Configure: Provides greater flexibility and control to configure the inherited and non-inherited service profile application methods for both bulk and individual ONU.
    • Selected: The Single/Bulk Edit option allows users to configure ONTs individually with Single Edit or apply changes to multiple ONTs simultaneously with Bulk Edit, streamlining profile management.
  • Software update: Support for remote software upgrades to GONT/XGONT devices in bulk or individually.
  • Reboot: Added functionality for rebooting ONTs remotely, either individually or in bulk.
  • Quarantine: Isolate malfunctioning ONTs to maintain the overall network.
  • Statistics: Provides detailed insights into fiber performance and health monitoring.

Physical reset

Perform a reset by creating a file named RESET (without extension) on a USB stick and connecting it to the OLT’s USB port.

Persistent logging

Improved logging with persistent storage now retains previous logs across reboots, aiding in debugging and maintaining logs even after an OLT reboot.

Trial configuration mode

Trial configuration mode allows temporary testing of settings without affecting the production environment. Any changes made via the trial configuration button will automatically revert after 10 minutes if not applied permanently.

ONU list

The ONU List page has been enhanced to display the Distance, Software Version Active Bank and Software Version
InActive Bank.
