Has anyone found any gotchas configuring the new r195's out of the box that would make you change any basic configuration you would have done in the past say on a r190 router? We just configure CnMaestro to work and change wifi name and password to what we want to leave all other settings default. I will say its nice to have these units come defaulted with allow wireless host again. That was the biggest PITA ever with the old routers being defaulted and also out of the box no wifi access to configure.

There is one change on R195 w.rt WAN access. WAN access is enabled by default but it can be accessed only when non default credentials are set on device.
"By default, the web access from WAN interface is disabled from 4.3.3 release onwards for
security reasons for R190/R200/R201. In R195W, UI can be accessed via WAN by setting
non default admin credentials"

Thanks, Nillesh. That’s sense to be the only catch so far that we couldn’t remotely log in using default credentials. Kind of scary if the unit get defaulted though. Has cambium already found the exact string of code from the router config that changes the default credentials so we can alter that and save it as a config file to push in CnM? We had to do such a thing with the r190’s that re enabled remote access and allow wireless host so when the router was defaulted (which happened often) the cst could connect via WiFi to the router to access the GUI and we could also access the GUI remotely again.

You can change admin password using cnMaetsro from AP group configuration and Device Overrides option .
