cnMatrix TX switches susceptible to unexpected behavior when devices that require low voltage passive PoE are connected.

Based on our testing, the current list of affected devices are below. We will continue to update this list if other devices are found to exhibit the same behaviour.

  • Ubiquiti LTU Rocket
  • Ubiquiti AF-5XHD
  • Mimosa C5c
  • Cambium 3000L

“This is dependent on the grounding solution that the device uses. If the device isolates the PoE ground, then there will not be a problem. The problem only occurs if the device does not properly isolate its PoE ground.”

How do we know if a (Cambium) device “isolate th PoE ground”? We are going to use it with a force300-13.
