I delete an AP from Cloud cambium but it don’t come automatically on the on premises version.
What can I do without insert the IP and the password at every AP every time?
I think would be automatically because the anchor account is the same from cloud and it’s inserted in the on premises version.

If you got AP configuration profiles set up in CnMaestro try to add the config in the “User-Defined Overrides” section. AP should start showing offline from cnMaestro on Cloud and start populating your on-Premises onboard tab. Make sure before you click to onboard APs on prem you will remove them from Cloud version.
Deleting from Cloud alone usually won’t pull the AP into On-Prem — it still needs its management URL pointed at your On-Prem (or a claim/onboard there), which is painful if you’re doing IP + password one by one.

Does anyone using External Captive Portal?
After migration to cnMaestro on prem, my captive portal “page gateway returned status’404 NoT_Found’”
When checked the logs I got the info “Captive Portal data is blocked by Access Control rules.”
Configuration is exactly the same onCloud and onPrem
The controller plays no part in performance, only configuration and management which is identical to the settings you find on the cloud controller.
I apologize if this has already been answered… If a business is using cnMaestro cloud and doesn’t migrate to the on-premise version before October 1, what will happen to the cnMatrix switches and cnPilot APs that they own? They would still function without issue, correct? I’m assuming they would just lose the ability to easily manage the product?

What is going on?
The hardware will STILL operate, as the config is local on flash on the device. You would need to locally manage it via serial console or SSH / CLI. Manual configuration changes; you wont have ability to sync if not tied to controller.
If Cambium does NOT release a complete on-prem solution that is unlocked and full featured - you must migrate before October 1st – otherwise the devices wont be able to validate their serial numbers and entitlements, AKA – check if owned by another controller… etc
Completely agree with your post. We need more updates about what the heck is going on. The fact that no communication went out to customers and that no notification banners has been posted on the cnMaestro site is unacceptable. Just think of the businesses that have no idea that this is even happening.
Yeah, I’m pissed very angry. If they had actual HQ in US market - be different story… this is very egregious.
I just lost $3,000 for a recent WiFi deployment as now have to switch vendors to complete the scope of work, which breaks EasyPass solution – as EasyPass guest vouchers was sold as part of solution… Back to MikroTik Hotspot and a third-party API. Can Cambium refund me my money paid to distributors..?? F*&CK Cambium at this point and the CEO. Where ever he goes – we will avoid.
We cant get hardware we had on order. We cant get TAC, we cant get CCAV and they cant even honor entitlements.
I feel for those that recently spent 100’s of thousands for large scale RIP and replace.

I’ve never even heard of Airspan before. I really need to speed up my deployment of HPE Aruba to replace the rest of my Cambium gear.

I think they only bought cnMaestro platform IP and other technologies. The UK administrative is going to slice and dice up Cambium products to respective buyers and what they’re interested in…
The enterprise wireless is left to die, based on the announcement. Also NSE is to die.
Airspan will only be for fixed wireless.
The acquired portfolio spans point-to-multipoint access with the PMP 450 platform; unlicensed point-to-point backhaul with PTP 670; point-to-point systems for defense applications with PTP 700; millimeter wave point-to-point and point-to-multipoint connectivity with cnWave; and narrowband communications for industrial environments with cnReach. The management system and planning software for the acquired portfolio, including LinkPlanner, cnHeat, and cnMaestro, are included in the transaction.
We got F*&CK and left to dry.
Unless the executive team at Airspan has some passion and heart to carry to torch for the enterprise customers who have cnMaestro subscriptions.
Maybe there is hope someone will acquire the enterprise wireless hardware division along with associated cnMaestro and the recurring revenue, a fork of the existing cnMaestro…
I’m sure would ALL would been okay with Cambium increasing the subscription RENEWAL costs for existing customers and put out a PSA about market adjustments… pretty usual business practice… Unless I am the miniority with that mindset – all in hopse that would of helped Cambiums numbers and kept them from the place they ended. VERY POOR Executive team.
At this point, I really just want a cnMaestro on-premise version that is fully featured and decoupled from the cloud. That way I can at least get notifications and make changes until I can get everything replaced with Aruba.

Color me shocked if “Cambium” follows through and actually releases a full featured version that is not cloud dependent for their enterprise customers. They dont care..
Also @StephenP - Careful with Aruba right now, especially if your using their Instant On Products. We’re at a pause for their wifi gear [Aruba Instant on switches and Wifi work great]. But they [HPE Aruba] also need to sell their portfolio based on US DOJ… forcing and requiring them to offload to a buyer since their acquisition of Juniper.
