Is there any news on a new company acquiring cnMaestro X?
Haven’t tried it yet myself, but I’m thinking that setting the DHCP lease time very low prior to moving a site, then setting the DHCP options when ready to move should get our APs moving fairly quickly.
Hello,
is the last version of cnMaestro released on 2026-09-23 independent from Anchor Account?
In negative case, there is a prevision of release for that version?
Thanks
Filippo
The latest release of cnMaestro on-prem (6.0.0-r11) still has the cloud anchor dependency.
Am I understanding correctly that with on-premises cnMaestro we won’t be able to add new devices without support from Cambium, meaning that we’ll get stuck with a set of devices that get managed and more and more get left out as time goes on? We’re only using Cambium for fixed wireless. We have mostly ePMP and also a handful of cnWave, PMP 450, and PTP 670 devices.
Onboarding ePMP devices is my biggest question as well (aside from what will happen with CBRS authorization for our pmp450 devices). cnMaestro has been key to us managing our ePMP deployment (1000+ units)
I have 1,080 APs in cnMaestro X cloud. Right about 90% XV3-8 and 10% XE5-8. I have imported two AP groups so far and all have this error when trying to sync…
Device out of sync : Configuration failed: Device configuration does not match target
I am using 6.0.0r11 and I have tried OS 7.1.2-r9 and 6.6.2.1-r5 with the same result. Does anyone have any insight? I got an onboard error that maybe was pointing to IP address settings, but I am not sure.
Thanks for any help!
In case you haven’t seen it, the CBRS situation for PMP450 is described here:
and updated here:
@Simon_King & Cambium Team / UK Administration.
Any updates for us Enterprise customers who’re waiting the fate of cnmaestro and our enterprise hardware?
- Can Cambium give info as to the next expected cnMaestro on-prem release
- Will the release really support NSE?
- Will it be full featured - “unlocked/unleashed”?
- Cambium executive team took all our subscription and hardware money, we will never be made “whole”
- No ability to RMA, no more TAC and no CCAV.
- This is reason to release full “X” on-prem - no pay walls, as if the cloud anchor goes away we lose all entitlements.
- Without Cambium maintaining cnMaestro - we’re one large CVE away from chaos…
- No ability to RMA, no more TAC and no CCAV.
I have been doing a migration this week and found this error came up on a couple of APs. All I did was sync the config again from the device configuration page on these APs and it seemed to work.
Unfortunately I am getting that same error on every AP that I import… I am currently running cnMaestro 6.0.0-r11 and 6.6.2.1-r5 on my APs.
When you say “the device configuration page,” where is that? I have tried forcing the sync from multiple different pages, but have had no luck.
Tryign to migrate a NSE3000 which was on x across to on prem and its reporting “Device could not acquire subscription slot” and sitting as still unclaimed. Hopefully the handfull I have don’t end up as expensive paperweights!! Any help appreciated.
I think that is normal, just do a resync, it should sort itself. Seen that all the time
Update: ignore this post, I was wrong. See the next post from @ntox.
I’m afraid NSE3000 devices are not supported in On-Premises:
@Simon_King
This contradicts the prior Cambium release… Cambium just stated NSE support WOULD be added. has this now changed, if so - can you have administration tell us? This is bullshit.
So what is it then, has there been a deviation in the plan? Administration has been silent.
Does anyone have any idea how we can move APs from a (malfunctioning-offline) on-premises anchor to another on-premises anchor?
The old one is offline, and I can’t delete it myself from my anchors.
When I try to approve an AP on the new anchor, I get the message: “Device is mapped to another On-Prem instance under the current Cloud Anchor account.”
How can I get these APs onto the new on-premises server?
Sorry, my mistake, I hadn’t seen that part of the announcement.
(I’m no longer a Cambium employee and am not involved in these plans)
Understood, thank you for that context :).
We have this same situation. We’re supposed to reach out to cambium support to have them remove the old instance. cnMaestro team does not seem to be responding to tickets at the moment though
Hey Simon, apprecate you still being active and supportive here!!!
Thanks others on the update. Issue will be features possibly will lose that X brings, such as DNS filtering. ![]()
