How do I generate a Diagnostic Log from an AOS AP

This article describes how to generate a Diagnostic Log from an AOS AP when Support requests one.

Standalone APs

  1. Log in to the Web Management Interface of the AP by loading its IP address in a Web browser.

  2. Under the Tools header, click on System Tools.

  3. Click on Diagnostics to expand the options and then click on Update or Create button.

  4. Once completed, a diagnostic log link will appear to download directly to your machine.

  5. Attach the diagnostic log to the ticket via the Support portal or reply to the support ticket via Email and upload the log as an attachment.

XMS-Cloud

  1. Go to the Access Points window

  2. Click on the desired AP

  3. Click on the Tools icon

  4. Fill in the Name and Description

  5. Click RUN DIAGNOSTIC

  6. Download the resulting file

XMS-Enterprise

  1. Login to XMS-Enterprise.

  2. Click Monitor → Access Points

  3. Select the AP you wish to generate the Diagnostic Log from by using the tick box.

  4. Once completed, click the Download Diagnostic Logs

  5. Attach the diagnostic log to the ticket via the Support portal or reply to the support ticket via Email and upload the log as an attachment.
