Link Planner 5_1 Error

When trying to start Link Planner 5_1 i get this Error.  suggestions?

Try running the console version to see if it reports an error. To do this:

- Start "cmd" (Windows Key + R, then enter "cmd" in the Open box)

- Find the LINKPlanner directory in Windows Explorer, usually "C:\Program Files\Cambium Networks\LINKPlanner"

- Drag and drop "LinkPlannerConsole.exe" into the cmd window and press enter

You should see some warning lines, as shown below. These are safe to ignore.

    WARNING Failed to find link_planner/ge_shut_off_date in config file
    WARNING Using default for link_planner/ge_shut_off_date: 2015-12-12 00:00:00
    WARNING Failed to find link_planner_beta/latest_version in config file
    WARNING Failed to find link_planner_beta/download_url in config file
    WARNING Failed to find news/url in config file
    WARNING Failed to find icon_url/url in config file
    WARNING Using default for icon_url/url: http://linkplanner.cambiumnetworks.com/lp_icons
    WARNING Failed to find 5.0.0/url in config file
    WARNING Failed to find 5.0.0/timestamp in config file
    WARNING Failed to find help/base_url in config file
    WARNING Using default for help/base_url: http://linkplanner.cambiumnetworks.com/doc/
    WARNING Failed to find names/max_distance_km in config file
    WARNING Using default for names/max_distance_km: 1000

It should report an error just before exiting. Send us the error.

I should clarify  that the error shows up when trying to start a project.

Is it when you create a new project or when you open an existing project?

If it is when you create a new project, click Tools -> Options and then click on the "Templates" page. Set the "New project template" to be blank. If that fixes things then send a copy of the template that caused the error to linkplanner@cambiumnetworks.com.

If it is when you open a project, send the project file to linkplanner@cambiumnetworks.com.

It seems not to matter whether it is a new or existing proget.  That's the odd part of this.  I have had to go back to version 4.9.1 to get anything to work.

Have you tried reinstalling v5.1.0?

You can also send us your LINKPlanner log files to see if that provides any clues. Try to start LINKPlanner 5.1.0 so that it triggers the error. Then locate the log files using the following steps:

- Click Start -> Run (or Windows Key + R)
- Enter "%APPDATA%\LINKPlanner" in the "Open" text box
- Send all of the "cambium_linkplanner" log files to linkplanner@cambiumnetworks.com
