On-Premise cnMaestro Migration (VirtualBox-PROXMOX)

Hello,

Using this link:

I installed cnmaestro on-premises on Proxmox and it started perfectly.

I need help migrating the data from the old cnmaestro on-premises to this new one.

When I start the new cnmaestro on-premises, it asks me to add an Anchour account (see photo).

  1. Should I disable the Anchour account from the old cnmaestro to use it in the new one?

Or

  1. Should I create a different Anchour account for this new cnmaestro on-premises installation?

Or

  1. Or will it be okay if I use the same Anchour account that’s active in the old cnmaestro on-premises?

What would be the correct procedure to avoid impacting the migration?

I already have the .tag.gz backup of the old on-premises cnMaestro ready, and I’m ready to migrate.

Thanks

Hi, you can have multiple cnMaestro On Prem instances connected to the same Anchor account so no need to create a new Anchor account. I recommend you create a Cambium Support ticket to get the assistance you need to migrate the data from the old to new On Prem accounts.

Hello

I used option 1.

In the web admin of my old cnMaestro on-premises installation, I disabled the Anchour account to avoid any errors and then configured the Anchour account in the new cnMaestro installation.

Then I downloaded the backup of the old cnMaestro and uploaded it to the new cnMaestro, and everything went well.

cnMaestro was working on Proxmox.

However, after a week, we had to restart Proxmox, and unfortunately, it stopped working. Using .ova files in Proxmox is unreliable, so we had to reactivate the old cnMaestro on-premises installation, which has been running on VirtualBox for years.

Thanks
