Is this the end of the line for 900 MHz Cambium gear or is there something new and improved waiting to be released in 2024?

There has been lots of user interest in a 2.4 GHz AX chipset version of the 4000 series. In the 5 GHz version (the 4500) people are seeing shockingly good coverage through some trees, so the idea is that an AX product in 2.4 GHz would be significantly better than previous generations of 2.4 GHz gear. Better at throughput, and better at interference mitigation as well.

But, no word from Cambium.

If you want to search them up, there are 2.4 AX threads in these forums, plus a very active one with well over 100 positive comments on the Facebook WISP groups.

A post was split to a new topic: Inventory Report for PMP Devices

The 900 MHz PMP 450i equipment has been serving us well, so I would like to see continued availability of 900 MHz equipment from Cambium.

It’s not gonna happen… I’d suggest that you buy as much stock as you can before it’s discontinued.

But it’s not all bad news… there’s a great replacement in the works, read this entire post on 2.4GHz for ePMP 4000.
